Media invited to STEM aviation event at Drone America

RENO– Media are invited to attend a special STEM aviation event on Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 hosted by the Desert Research Institute and Reno-based unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) manufacturer Drone America.

DRI’s GreenPower K-12 Outreach Program will introduce students from Dilworth STEM Academy to Drone America’s newest drone platforms and their unique applications for environmental science and research happening at the Desert Research Institute.

Scientists from the Desert Research Institute will be on hand to showcase their latest UAS projects and Drone America engineers and staff will guide students through their drone manufacturing facility and micro-drone flight test simulator.
