Drone America at the FireShowReno on Oct. 23, 2014 in Reno, Nev.

Drone America was on display during the 2014 FireShowsReno at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nev. The company showed off a variety of advanced technologies, including the Ariel, two Phoebus UAS platforms and a mobile Ground Control System. According to Drone America, several hundred people visited the booth to inquire about UAS technologies and how they could help their agencies and/or departments.

“The FireShowsReno is what every State should have, which is an event that is focused exclusively on supporting fire fighters and emergency responders,” said Drone America’s President and CEO Mike Richards. Drone America is very proud to exhibit and provide insights into our sustainable concepts that provide first responders with the very best and innovative unmanned solutions, which are affordable to both large and small fire departments. These are indeed exciting times where a local company with local people, design and manufacture advanced composite unmanned systems with a primary focus of saving lives.”

Drone America was also asked to speak at the conference about the emerging drone industry and how UAS’s can help numerous industries.

“Everything that we do today has its foundation in the dedicated individuals that work to help others,” said Richards. “Our goal is to understand how we as a company can help those that help us. It is an honor and a pleasure to work together with them to provide advanced solutions that can both save time and resources while providing a good outcome.”

The three-day event featured guest speakers, large product displays and new technologies that focused on the Fire, EMS, Prevention and HAZMAT industries.
